Stop the Bleed B-Con: Bleeding Control Basics
Stop the Bleed is an initiative of the American College of Surgeons and the Hartford Consensus that provides civilian bystanders the skills and basic tools to stop uncontrolled bleeding in an emergency situation and save lives. Similar to how the general public learns and performs CPR, the public should learn proper bleeding control techniques, including how to use their hands, pack a wound, and apply a tourniquet. Learn first hand from our certified and experienced trauma professionals and receive a Certificate in Bleeding Control Basics.
